Michigan Wolverines fans riot is one of the greatest traditions in all of sports played itself out right here in Columbus, Ohio, when the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Ohio State University Buckeyes football teams played their final regular-season game. But this is not just a football game it is one of the greatest rivalries in all of sports.
The rivalry between Ohio and Michigan Wolverines fans riot goes back a long way; in fact, to before they were even states. A land dispute arising out of some bad survey work led to angry rhetoric, border skirmishes, and heavy lobbying. In 1835 the dispute was decided in Ohio’s favor by President Andrew Jackson but the Michigan Wolverines fans riot was always there.
In 1897, this inter-state rivalry was transferred to the fledgling game of football and the sport has never been the same. The 100-Yard War traces the ensuing rivalry’s history from its humble beginnings in that first October game, as it grew and developed during the early twentieth century, through the classic years of the late 60s and into the 70s, and concluding with the centennial meeting last year in Ann Arbor. It traces the blowouts, the stalemates, the epic victories, shattering upsets, and the Michigan Wolverines fans riot.
The Michigan Wolverines fans riot is one of the expected scenes that happen during the Michigan Wolverines game. Michigan Wolverines fans riot was controlled by the police last year. A couple of years ago, the crowd had gone completely berserk, after Ohio State University won a home game and they burned cars and stuff. Hence, last year, since it was a home game again, spectators were asked to sign the "scarlet and gray oath", which stated that no matter what the outcome of the game, the Michigan Wolverines fans will not riot.
